ABOUT
My
name is Awusa Collins Ekene. I’m a tech kid who wants to be a whiz kid by doing
something I love so much. I believe so much in matters of technology and its
application in solving our daily problems be it educational, business, social
problems and vice versa. It will interest you to know that I actually started
my technological missionary journey in 2015. Then, it was a call but now it is
a hobby.
As a kid, I loved electronic devices
such as telephones, laptops and headsets. I just don’t know why I liked them
more than any other thing. That’s how the desire started. It kept growing in
me. Initially, I was introduced to computer when I was in Elementary Four. I
was amazed because of the capacity and functionalities of the machine. I made
up my mind to learn much I could about technology.
Fortunately, I was enrolled into an
institution that values computer and therefore teaches their students
theoretical and practical aspects of computer. I loved my present School StThomas Aquinas Secondary School, Nwofe for giving me the opportunity to serve them
as a Computer Laboratory Prefect. I was given this post in my JSS3 although the
post was usually given to the senior students. That was when it occurred to me
that God has actually called me to serve there and that He wants me to learn something
there. I didn’t just serve a year as others.
As a Computer Lab Prefect, I
explored many things about technology. After sometime, I became interested in
Web Development and Programming. I went ahead to learn HTML and CSS Language. I
proceeded to learn Java script Programming Language with the materials provided
to me by my mentor Sir Paschal Uba, a web designer, IT consultant and the CEO
of Upsilion Technologies. His motivational talks made me learn faster. He finds
fault in all I do. He would always tell me one of those days I lived with him
“Awusa, I will continue to find fault in what you do until there is no fault”.
Master UPE as he is fondly called is no doubt a motivational speaker. He made
me understand the importance of programme schedule and showing appreciation in
life.
Currently, I have the knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java script. I am a blogger. I blog because of the passion I have for writing contents.
